Course presentation

IMPA Tech offers a transdisciplinary curriculum to train the professional of the future. Linear algebra, programming, mechanics and thermodynamics are some of the subjects in the first term. English and language skills are also part of the curriculum. The teaching staff includes researchers from IMPA, our own professors and professors from partner institutions.

Course

Free and innovative, the bachelor’s degree in Mathematics of Technology and Innovation brings together students from all over Brazil.

Format

There are up to 100 places per year in the face-to-face model, in Rio de Janeiro.

Differentials

IMPA Tech is a higher education course funded by the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the Ministry of Education (MEC), in partnership with the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Emphases

With a duration of four years, the bachelor’s degree in Mathematics of Technology and Innovation aims to train students to effectively enter the technology and innovation market. The degree has a one-year basic cycle and then students choose between four emphases.

Maravalley Port

Another advantage of IMPA Tech is its location. The school is located in Porto Maravalley, the Rio de Janeiro City Hall’s technology hub in the port area. In the 10,000 m² warehouse, IMPA Tech is next to companies and startups in the technology sector. The students experience an environment that links academia with the job market.

With the aim of bringing together the best students in Brazil, IMPA Tech offers accommodation for students of legal age, in a partnership with Rio City Hall. Students also receive financial assistance.
