IMPA Tech Opens Registration for Chinese Language Courses
The initiative is carried out in partnership with the Confucius Institute at PUC-Rio
Registration is now open for the Chinese I and III courses offered by IMPA Tech in partnership with the Confucius Institute at PUC-Rio. The initiative is aimed at the internal communities of IMPA and IMPA Tech, as well as the general public interested in learning the language and learning more about Chinese culture. Registration is open through August 5 and must be completed using the form available at this link.
Classes will be held from August 10 to December 9, 2026, every Monday and Wednesday, at IMPA Tech, located at Av. Professor Pereira Reis, 76, in the port area of Rio de Janeiro.
The course offers two classes: Chinese I – Basic I (HSK 1) and Chinese III – Basic III (HSK 2), with classes from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
There will be 30 spots available per class, with 18 reserved for internal participants (IMPA and IMPA Tech) and 12 for the external community. Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
If the number of applications exceeds the number of available spots, the excess applicants will automatically be placed on the waiting list. Each class will have a waiting list with up to 20 applicants, and registration will close once the maximum limit of 50 applicants per class is reached.
Under Brazilian law, a minimum attendance rate of 75% is required to receive a certificate at the end of the course. In addition, three consecutive unexcused absences will result in automatic loss of enrollment status.
Candidates with confirmed registration will be contacted by email. If you have any questions, please contact us at extensao@impatech.edu.br.
