To the instrumental sound of “Como é grande o meu amor por você” (How great is my love for you), IMPA Tech students were treated to a musical performance after their first exam on Tuesday (28). The project “E não há motivos para não falar de amor” (And there’s no reason not to talk about love), conceived by singer-songwriter Jéssica Ayo, was responsible for creating a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for the students, who are taking their first exams of the degree program this week.
“I’m very happy to be able to bring all the passion, love and faith to these people through music. During the performance, I talk a lot about believing and trusting in your purpose. It’s an opportunity to create a link with the students and not let them forget what brought them here,” said the artist.
The idea of including concerts during exam breaks was to make the students feel calmer and more at ease after the exams. Jéssica’s original musical project was chosen with this in mind. The singer performed alongside guitarist Ronaldo Malta and musician Luiz Felipe Pereira, who played a wind instrument.
“The intention of the show is to create an intimate atmosphere and escape from stressful everyday life. Here at IMPA Tech, the presentation aims to bring this welcoming atmosphere, to relax the students in a moment of relaxation away from calculations and numbers. Through art, they can rest, remember their families and friends, recovering emotional memories,” added Jéssica.
The students enjoyed the experience and relaxed between exams. “It was very interesting to have this moment of relaxation, since it’s natural to be worried, because that decides our future here. The music calms us down, brings us peace and makes us better prepared for the next exams. We’re very happy that IMPA Tech cares about our well-being and mental health,” said student Laura Fernandes.
