Social Sum

Aimed at demystifying mathematics for public elementary and secondary school students, Soma Social is an outreach project that supplements math education for young people in the IMPA Tech community. Through practical and inclusive activities, the initiative brings scientific knowledge to vulnerable populations, fostering an interest in science and technology. In addition to directly contributing to these students’ academic performance and helping them stay in school, the project strengthens the institute’s social ties to its local community, serving as a gateway to the academic world and encouraging future careers in science.
