Roberta Sá concert opens cultural program in 2026
Students went to the Riachuelo Theater on the São Sebastião holiday (20)
An intimate concert by Roberta Sá opened this year’s program of cultural activities at the NAP (Psychopedagogical Support Center). In the early evening of the São Sebastião municipal holiday, on Tuesday (20), IMPA Tech students went to the Riachuelo Theater, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, to watch the show of the “Tudo Que Cantei Sou” tour, which marks two decades of the singer’s career, in a repertoire that combines MPB, samba and bossa nova.
From classical to contemporary, the students had fun to the sound of songs that have marked Roberta’s career, such as “Ah, Se Eu Vou” (Lula Queiroga), “Amanhã é Sábado” (Martinho da Vila) and “Samba de Um Minuto” (Rodrigo Maranhão). For the coordinator of the center, Cristina Ramos, the event marks the beginning of the annual program, which includes at least one socio-cultural activity per month. “The experience was enriching, recognizing cultural activity as a space for learning, expression and the exchange of experiences, in line with the actions developed by the NAP,” she said.
Roberta Sá is one of the leading artists in contemporary Brazilian music, with six studio albums to her name and a Latin Grammy nomination for “Breakthrough Artist” in 2007.
Student Gabriel Vieira is enthusiastic about Brazilian culture and enjoyed the show alongside his classmates. “I listen to all kinds of music, I’m always looking for new Brazilian artists. Having the live experience was really cool, listening to songs I like,” he said. For him, cultural activities are opportunities to get to know new tourist attractions in Rio. “I hadn’t been to many shows, but I left the theater wanting to go to more, because it’s very good, it makes you want to know more,” he said.
Over the past year, NAP has promoted trips to the theater, supported sports and taken young people to Rio’s traditional museums. The Riachuelo Theater hosted three shows: ” Martin, Heart of the King“, in February, “Duets“, in April, and “Mother Outside the Box“in September.
“The center’s proposal is very cool, because our minds are very focused on our studies, on the day-to-day of college, and these outings are opportunities to take a break from the routine and calm our minds,” said Vieira.
