Workshop on making CVs brings together undergraduates
Gisele Lima was invited by the NCE for an activity on Monday (9)
How do you turn academic skills into corporate opportunities? This question guided the meeting held by the NCE (Careers and Internships Center) with the 2024 class this Monday (9). Speaker Gisele Lima, a specialist in Human Resources, led the workshop on making CVs, which helped the students turn their own profiles into possibilities in the job market.
The meeting clarified the differences between a corporate CV, a Lattes CV, and a CV in English, focused on international opportunities. For Gisele, well-structured CVs broaden possibilities both in academia and in the corporate market. “A CV is your professional business card. You need to be objective and assertive, making your profile clear to the institution you are looking for,” she said.
Building clear, strategic material in line with the expectations of each area was one of the goals of the chat. Using practical examples, Gisele showed the differences between the objectives. “The CV is a summary of our background, of our experiences. This skill is fundamental for adding opportunities”, said the speaker.
For student Tainá Queiroz, the meeting was enlightening. “I’m very interested in doing an exchange through IMPA Tech, and one of the steps in the selection process is to have a suitable CV. Today’s talk fitted in perfectly with the moment I’m going through and helped me a lot, because I had no idea how to put it together. Now, I know what I need to include, what is interesting and relevant according to each opportunity,” he said.

In March, IMPA Tech will begin the first cycle of selecting students for academic exchanges. Interested students should send their CVs and letters of intent in English. The institute is already negotiating with international universities to establish partnerships.
In addition to exchanges, the internship phase is approaching for the first-year undergraduates. From the second semester onwards, the young people will be able to begin their activities in external companies, supervised by the NCE. More information will be announced soon.
Until then, the center will continue to promote lectures and workshops to guide the students’ academic path. Developing soft skills and the best ways to behave at internship interviews are some of the topics on the agenda. Technical visits to companies and meetings with potential partners are also planned.
HR specialist Gisele Lima is also due to return to IMPA Tech, continuing the curriculum theme. Previously, in August 2025, she also gave the workshop “Personal Relationships and Feedback”. On this occasion, he worked on skills such as active listening, empathy, building trust and clear communication, showing that healthy relationships are fundamental for young people’s academic and professional growth.
